Tina Fey's "30 Rock"
30 Rock is an American TV show produced by Tina Fey. The series depict the life behind the camera of the fictional comedy series TGS with Tracy Jordan. The pilot episode first aired in 2006 and was originally about of a head writer who has to manage her relationship with the show's executive producer.
In the first season Tina Fey starred as Liz Lemon the head writer of "TGS with Tracy Jordan". Jane Krakowski portrayed the spotlight seeking Jenna Maroney. Tracy Morgan acted as the loose star of TGS Tracy Jordan. Jack McBrayer played Kenneth Parcell, an obedient, young NBC pageboy. Scott Adsit portrayed Pete Hornberger, the a witted producer of TGS. Judah Friedlander starred as the childish, sarcastic writer Frank Rossitano. Alec Baldwin played the controlling, decisive executive Jack Donaghy.
During the second season, three guest-starring characters received star billing. Keith Powell portrayed the witty James "Toofer" Spurlock. Katrina Bowden acted as Liz's laid back, attractive assistant Cerie Xerox. Lenny Ross played Josh Girard, an immature TGS cast member.
Other supporting characters include: Grizz Chapman, Kevin Brown, Maulik Pancholy and John Lutz.
Among other numerous accolades, the series received four Creative Arts Emmy Awards and the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Producers announced that 30 Rock will return in 2008 with a third season which will consist of 22 episodes.
